Such a diversity of roles. And it’s just going to get better and better.
Ah, to live in the Age of Cumberbatch.

And of course, Mycroft established early on that John doesn’t. Ever.
I loved Mycroft so much after this conversation.
…Mycroft trusts John
OHMYGOD I just got and realized this earlier tonight. I watched Scandal tonight with my mom and OH MY GOD i got this while I was watching the show. HOLY SHIT it was a really important moment for me I had to resist the urge to fangirl loudly while my little brother was trying to sleep.
And of course, Mycroft established early on that John doesn’t. Ever.

After having finally deduced how Sherlock survived the fall - that is, thanks to a special cat-toast device - now I’m able to offer you an answer to the question that, I’m certain, haunted your minds as it has been haunting mine for the last couple of days: where did Sherlock find a cat for his cat-toast device?
I mean, a buttered toast is easy enough to find, even in an hospital; an harness even more so (straps and fastenings can be removed from stretchers or similar medical devices); but a cat?!?
… Well, it’s apparent that, when Molly said that she would have done everything for Sherlock, she really meant everything…
So, if any London sherlockian should see the spinning cat flying around, could he please try to catch Toby and bring him back to Molly?
And of course let’s not forget that in the stories, Toby was a dog and he was of great help to Sherlock Holmes. In fact, he says “I would rather have Toby’s help than that of the whole detective force of London.” Clearly, BBC decided to honour that by having Toby the cat play a very important part!
